Canal Street Lab collaborated with Supper on the spatial and exhibition design for HORSE: A Game for Everyone, an interactive installation by Tyrrell Winston presented at 1001 Woodward in partnership with Library Street Collective.
Centered around a 25-foot “hoop tree” composed of 14 basketball hoops, the exhibition transformed the familiar language of the court into a sculptural and participatory environment. CSL supported the development of the exhibition layout and visitor experience, while translating the hoop tree concept into a physical installation through 3D studies, spatial coordination, and structural design development.
The installation was framed by two major works: Winston’s largest Punishment Painting to date and a found-object sculpture composed of weathered basketballs. Together, the works created an environment that moved between exhibition, game, and public gathering, inviting visitors to engage through both observation and play.
Supper led the broader creative direction, exhibition design, and production, with a visual system spanning signage, wayfinding, printed and digital assets, merchandise, custom basketballs, and limited-edition trophies. The result was a cohesive exhibition experience rooted in play, memory, and cultural expression.
